Vukasin Krsmanovic, 21 years old from Ancaster has been charged with: impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death. Drive with over 80 mg/alc in 100 ml/blood causing death. Dangerous driving of a motor vehicle causing death. Criminal negligence causing death.

 

The deadly two car crash happened just before 5am Sunday March 20th in the Niagara bound lanes of the QEW between Fruitland and Fifty roads. One of the cars was driving the wrong way. The highway was closed for about six hours.

The car that was hit head-on by a wrong way driver, caught fire and the man behind the wheel died at the scene. He’s been identified as Khoi Dinh Le.

The driver of the other car, a 21 year old man, was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

Police say it’s not clear yet how long the driver was on the wrong side of the highway but they had several calls to report it.
