Weekend closures of Hamilton’s Linc, Burlington Skyway postponed due to inclement weather

Major road closures planned for this weekend in and around Hamilton have been postponed due to inclement weather.
Niagara-bound traffic on the QEW Burlington Skyway will be open as will the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, which was due to be closed all weekend for annual maintenance.
Linc closure
Hamilton’s Linc is scheduled to be fully closed for three days starting Friday, May 30.
Beginning at 8 a.m., the eastbound lanes from Golf Links Road to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp will be shut down.
The westbound lanes from the Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Road will be blocked off starting at 10 a.m., the same Friday.
Drivers can detour on Mohawk and Stone Church roads.

The city says the maintenance work taking place will include bridge and signage repairs, spot resurfacing and asphalt repairs, graffiti removal, vegetation maintenance and the milling and paving of sections of the roads.
All lanes are expected to reopen Monday, June 2 at 5 a.m.
QEW Niagara-bound closure

Northshore Boulevard Interchange will remain open. Eastport Drive Collector Lanes and Eastport Drive can be used as a detour route.
The ministry advises travellers to visit 511.on.ca for updates on work and traffic impacts.
Lakeshore West GO train schedule changes for this weekend have also been announced by Metrolinx.
