Peel Regional Police have released video showing a Brampton man crashing a stolen semi-trailer truck into a police cruiser last week.
Officers say the truck was reported stolen on Dec. 21 from a repair shop in the area of East Drive and Torbram Road in Brampton.
The following day, investigators found a man driving the stolen truck — with another stolen trailer from Halton Region attached to it — near Williams Parkway and Humberwest Parkway.
When police attempted to stop the truck, the driver struck the police cruiser and caused extensive damage. No one was injured.
Officers say the man continued to drive the truck until it became inoperable, at which point he ran away. Police then chased after the suspect and eventually arrested him.
