Two teens charged with assault after fight at Hamilton Mountain school

Police have arrested and charged two teens with assault following a fight Monday at a high school on Hamilton Mountain.

The fight broke out at Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School on Upper Sherman Avenue near Rymal Road East.

Investigators say a 17-year-old student was taken to hospital with arm injuries.

Hamilton police arrested two teenage boys at the scene. A 16-year-old boy was charged with assault causing bodily harm and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon. A 19-year-old boy was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Officers believe additional suspects — both students and non-students — were involved in the attack.
