Two people killed in two-vehicle collision on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police say two people have been killed following a crash on Upper Centennial Parkway Friday evening.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., officers responded to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of Highgate Drive and Upper Centennial Parkway.

Initial information received by authorities indicated that two vehicles collided, and one vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.

Emergency responders located two people from one of the vehicles who were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were able to exit and were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Upper Centennial Parkway was closed between Highland Road and Rymal Road for several hours during the subsequent investigation.

Anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is asked to contact police at 905-546-4753. Those with dashcam footage are also encouraged to come forward.
