Two arrests made in connection to 2021 Oakville shooting

Halton police have arrested two people in connection to a targeted Oakville shooting in 2021.

Police were called to a residence on The Greenery in Oakville around 2:40 a.m. on March 21, 2021 for reports of shots fired in the area.

A woman was located on the scene with serious gunshot injuries. She was sent to hospital and survived.

An extensive investigation including numerous search warrants uncovered a CERB/CEWS (Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy) fraud that spanned across Ontario.

23-year-old Justus Verrall of Scarborough was arrested on July 29. She has been charged with possession of counterfeit mark, unauthorized possession of credit card data, two forged document counts.

28-year-old Sean Thomas of Fenelon Falls was arrested on August 22. He has been charged with various firearm possession, forged documents, and possession of credit card data charges.
