The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a limousine driver carrying 10 passengers with impaired and dangerous driving.
Mathew Owusu-Afriyie, 64, from Toronto was charged with Driving while impaired with drugs and alcohol and with having a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) over the legal limit and dangerous operation.
Officers say on July 11 at around 10:56 p.m. Burlington OPP responded to a call from a passenger saying they forced their limousine driver to pull over and took away the keys to the vehicle as they believed the driver to be impaired.
Police add that another driver in a separate vehicle also called to report the erratic driving of the limousine.
Owusu-Afriyie and 10 passengers were pulled over near Fifty Road in Hamilton when officers responded.
The driver was arrested and taken for breath tests before being released with a court date of Aug. 22.
