Hamilton Police now confirm a homicide investigation is now underway after the burned remains of Tim Bosma have been found.

Police haven’t confirmed where the burnt remains were found, but there has been a large police presence since this morning at a farm in Ayr, just west of Cambridge. Neighbours say police have actually been in the area for several days now, and one nearby resident said the farm was purchased by one of the suspects in Bosma’s disappearance, 27 year old Dellen Millard.

Millard is believed to be one of two suspects that had gone to Bosma’s house in Ancaster last monday to test drive his black dodge ram after Bosma posted an ad on Kijiji. On Sunday, police seized a trailer from Millard’s mother’s house in Kleinburg. It’s believed the trailer contains Bosma’s pick up truck.

At a news conference this afternoon, Detective Matt Kavanagh announced that Millard will be formally charged with first degree murder tomorrow.

Police are still seeking the second suspect. He’s not yet been identified, but he is described as white with dark hair standing anywhere between 5’9-5’10 with a small to medium build and seen wearing a red hooded sweathshirt.

Police have set up a special tip line for anyone with information on Tim Bosma: 905-546-2100. They can also submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
