In Niagara Falls this weekend, thousands of people gathered at Firemen’s Park for the second annual Renaissance faire.

It was chance to dress up and explore the world in times that have past.

There was axe throwing, archery, sword fighting along with some royalty, some knights and many characters from the past.

“The people here are so lovely, from the cast and crew and vendors and the people that showed up is in a wonderful mood to play” one attendee said.

“Being in and around people, we went through a time where we could not be around anyone and now you can axe throw, shoot your friend with a bow and arrow its great!” another attendee said.

The first Renaissance fair in Niagara Falls was just last year, but the event turned out to be a hit with thousands of people attending, so the organizers brought it back again this year once again at Firemen’s Park.

“It just snowballed, this year we have over 120 vendors, we have 18 food trucks, 3 bands, a harpist, the horses are here, sword fighting and all the mounted games” Cara Henry said.

A little make believe fun on this long weekend.

The faire will be back again next year, same weekend, same place.
