Temporary closures planned for Welland Canal bridges

A number of temporary bridge closures on the Welland Canal are set to begin May 20.

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation says the closures this week are for maintenance.

The Lakeshore Road Bridge in St. Catharines is expected to close Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for both pedestrians and vehicles.

The Allanburg Bridge in Thorold will close Wednesday, and Bridge 19 in Port Colborne will close Thursday.
