Six people have been hospitalized after a car crash in Norfolk.

OPP officers say a pickup truck collided with an SUV shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Turkey Point Road and Norfolk County Highway 24 East.

The driver of the pickup truck and five people that were inside the SUV – including a young child – were transported to hospital after emergency crews arrived.

Officials say one woman was airlifted to a hospital in Hamilton for treatment.

Investigators closed portions of the roadways near the site of the crash, but they have since been reopened.
