A man is dead after being shot in altercation with Toronto Police on a TTC streetcar early this morning. A witness posted a video on YouTube, and we must warn you some viewers may find it disturbing.

Police were responding to a call about a man on the streetcar near Dundas and Grace streets shortly after midnight. Reports say the man had a knife and refused to drop it when ordered to by police. Nearly 10 shots are heard in the video. The man was rushed to hospital where he later died.

The province’s Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation. The man hasn’t been identified.
