Shooting at Yorkdale Mall

A man is in hospital after shots were fired at Yorkdale Mall just after midnight.

Police say the victim was in the restaurant “Joey” when suspects approached from the outside and fired shots through the window. The victim was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital and is now in stable condition.

The suspects were last seen driving a silver Honda CRV eastbound on Yorkdale Road. No arrests have been made. This is the second shooting at the mall in less than two months. In March, a man was shot and killed and another wounded in a shooting that police believe was gang-related. Yorkdale was open today but joey restaurant remained closed.
