Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police and Six Nations police have lifted a shelter-in-place order for Ohsweken, Six Nations, that they issued early Monday morning due to an “active incident,” involving an armed person.
Police say the person was in the area of Fourth Line and Chiefswood Road in Six Nations territory, but say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Officers say they are continuing to investigate the incident and that a police presence in the area may continue.
Detectives say they will not be releasing any additional information at this point in their investigation.
