Serious collision between motorcycle and car in Haldimand County closes road

A road in Haldimand County remains closed this morning following a serious Sunday evening collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle.

Haldimand County OPP, along with fire and EMS, responded to the incident on Mississauga Road between Highway 6 and Ojibway Road shortly after 7 p.m.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

A section of Mississauga Road between Highway 6 and Ojibway Road remains closed as investigators continue to examine the scene.

The OPP is asking motorists to avoid the area and follow detours.
