School safety text service

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board is hoping to enhance school safety through anonymous mobile texting.

A pilot service called “Tip Off” will be launched at six schools on February 27th. It will allow students, staff, and community members to report bullying and other incidents through text messaging or a smartphone app.
The six schools in the pilot are Glendale, Saltfleet district, Sir Winston Churchill, Waterdown District and Westdale Secondary Schools, as well as Cardinal Heights Elementary School. The app is now available for download.
