The Salvation Army’s single-largest fundraising campaign to fund transformative and innovative programs and services for people in need across Ontario has kicked off for the holiday season.
The Christmas Kettle Campaign started Thursday and continues until Dec. 24.
Volunteers with donation kettles will be outside of most shopping centres and large stores. Many now have ‘tap to give’ electronic donation options.
Founded in England in 1865 and now in over 130 countries, the Christian charitable organization helps to feed, clothe and provide shelter to people and assists in natural disasters. It also offers spiritual care.
