Police share photo of man wanted in Hamilton crash, carjacking

Hamilton police have released a photo of a man wanted in connection with a crash and carjacking in the city’s east end last week.
On June 2 at around 5 p.m. a black Toyota Highlander and a red Toyota Camry collided at the intersection of Main Street East and Tuxedo Avenue.
When officers arrived and approached the vehicles, a man got out of the red Toyota Camry and ran from the scene towards Kenilworth Avenue.
Police say he opened the door and removed the driver of a grey Toyota Highlander that was idling near the intersection.
He then did a U-turn and drove north on Kenilworth Avenue.
Investigators have since recovered the stolen vehicle.
Anyone who may recognize the man in the photo is asked to contact Det. Const. Megan Anderson at 905-546-2921.
