Niagara police are looking for a man after a stabbing early Saturday morning in Niagara Falls.
Police say at around 4:25 a.m., they responded to the area of Eastwood Crescent and Ontario Avenue for a stabbing. Officers located a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She remains in hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition.
Investigators say the woman met the man in the area of Falls Avenue and Clifton Hill approximately 20 minutes before the stabbing. They left the area in the man’s vehicle, a maroon/burgundy pickup truck and the woman was stabbed shortly thereafter. They are not known to one and other.
The man is described as white, 40 years of age with a medium build, brown hair and brown facial hair. He is believed to be driving a maroon/burgundy pickup truck.
Businesses with CCTV footage that captures Falls Avenue near Clifton Hill and residents with CCTV footage that captures the area of Eastwood Crescent and Ontario Avenue, and/or drivers who may have been in either area with an operational dash-camera are encouraged to review their footage.
