Police searching for man following east Hamilton carjacking

Hamilton police are searching for a man following a carjacking in east Hamilton on June 2.
At approximately 5 p.m., officers observed a red Toyota Camry collide with a black Toyota Highlander near the intersection of Main Street East and Tuxedo Avenue. Both vehicles remained on scene.
As officers approached the vehicle, the driver of the red Camry fled on foot.
The man ran to the intersection of Main Street East and Kenilworth Avenue where he opened the door of a grey Toyota Highlander and removed the driver.
He got in the car and proceeded to make a U-turn before heading northbound on Kenilworth Avenue North.
The stolen grey Toyota Highlander was later found vacant on June 3 in the area of Belmont and Roxborough avenues.
Authorities are asking residents in the area to check their CCTV cameras for anything suspicious.
No suspect description has been provided.
