Niagara police are searching for a 12-year-old boy last seen in Welland.

Officers say Cyril Monteiro was last seen on June 10 at approximately 3 p.m. in the area of First Avenue and Rice Road. He is believed to be travelling on foot.

Monteiro is described as white, five-foot-three tall, approximately 95 lbs with a slender build. He has blue eyes and dirty blonde straight shoulder length hair.

Investigators say he was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, white shoes, and is carrying a blue/green backpack.

Anyone with information regarding Monteiro’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009167.
