Police charge Welland doctor, 51, in alleged sexual assault
Police have charged a 51-year-old family physician in Welland with sexual assault.
On Oct. 20, officers received a report of a sexual assault involving the doctor that allegedly happened on Oct. 12 at a medical office at 188 East Main St.
Investigators arrested Dr. Boutros Mikhail of Oakville Friday with one count of sexual assault.
Police also believe there may be additional victims.

Mikhail has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Welland court on April 28.
Detectives have notified the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) of this alleged incident.
Mikhail graduated from the faculty of medicine at Cairo University in Egypt in 1996. He has been a member of the CPSO since August 2012.
