The Trudeau government has retaliated against a 25% U.S. tariff imposed this morning on Canadian steel and aluminum by levying similar tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum coming into this country.  The counter-measures go into effect on July 1st and will stay in place until  the U.S. drops its tariffs, according to Foreign Affairs minister Chrystia Freeland.
