Peel police arrest two women from Thorold following human trafficking investigation

The Peel police Vice Unit have arrested and charged two women – both of Thorold – in connection to an ongoing human trafficking investigation that began in October 2024.
Officers say the investigation surrounds two women who were sexually trafficked across Ontario in 2024. They allege the suspects exercised control over aspects of their lives in order to financially profit.
In the early stages of the investigation, police identified 37-year-old Marcus Moses, who goes by the aliases “King Marlow” or “Marlow” as a suspect. He was arrested in the fall of 2024 after several search warrants led to the seizure of a firearm, drum magazine, and large amounts of ammunition and drugs.
Moses was charged with 26 offences related to human trafficking, drug trafficking and weapons possession. He remains in custody and now faces 20 additional charges in relation to new victims who have come forward, bringing the total to 46 offences.
As the investigation progressed, police arrested and charged two additional women.
Ashley Mullings, 31, of Thorold has been charged with:
- Trafficking in persons x 2
- Advertise sexual services
- Exercise control, direction or influence x 2
- Communicate with anyone for the purpose of obtaining sexual service
- Receive material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons
- Receive material benefit from sexual services
- Take motor vehicle without owner’s consent.
Tiana Beckford, 34, of Thorold has been charged with:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Trafficking in persons
- Exercise control, direction or influence
- Advertise sexual services
- Receive material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons
- Receive material benefit from sexual services
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (heroin and fentanyl) x 2
Investigators believe there may be more victims of Marcus Moses and his associates, particularly in the Golden Horseshoe area between 2014 and 2024.
