One person from Niagara Region charged after drugs seized in Mississauga traffic stop

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a person from the Niagara Region Thursday in Mississauga following a drug investigation.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Erin Mills Parkway where they seized nearly four kilograms of suspected cocaine from a vehicle.

They charged 27-year-old Rocco Laurenti of Niagara Region with the offence of possessing a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Laurenti is scheduled to appear at a Brampton courthouse Friday.
