Oakville Transit robbery suspect arrested

18-year-old Alexander Bagh of Oakville was riding an Oakville Transit bus travelling westbound on Lakeshore boulevard near Bronte Road on June 2018th just after 5 p.m. when he pointed a loaded pellet gun at another passenger and demanded money.

A third passenger altered the bus driver, who then contacted the police.

The Halton regional police service immediately and located the suspect on the bus.

Bagh was arrested without incident and a search revealed a CO2 powered pellet gun, crack cocaine, Xanax and Marijuana.

He has been charged with robbery with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a controlled substance and breach of youth probation.

No passengers were injured during this incident.
