Niagara police make arrests in connection to shooting at Club 88

Niagara police have identified and arrested two people in connection with a shooting at Club 88 in St. Catharines on April 27.
Officers were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots coming from St. Paul Street. Upon arrival, they observed a crowd of people running away from Club 88.
Outside the club, police located a 16-year-old boy with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the shooting took place near the bathroom area inside the club.
On May 7, investigators issued two search warrants at homes in St. Catharines and arrested 21-year-old LeBron Samuels for having a gun in his possession. Police have also charged him in connection to the shooting on April 27.
Samuels is facing 15 total charges related to the search warrant and the shooting.
Police have also charged Taeshawn Joseph, 18, of Barrie in connection with the shooting. He is facing eight charges related to the incident – including assault and possession of a loaded firearm.
