Niagara police have charged a 22-year-old man from Niagara Falls following an investigation into human trafficking.
Officers say a separate investigation into human trafficking that began last month, brought new information that led to the arrest of Joel Jongwe of Niagara Falls.
Jongwe has been charged with offences including sexual assault, sexual interference, and obtaining sexual services for consideration under the age of 18.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse Thursday.
