A new museum opened in South Cayuga Saturday.

The Footsole Museum opened its doors for the first time.

It’s a renovated phone booth on the side of a road in South Cayuga. It’s now open to the public for people to take and leave things as they please.

It may be small, but it has a big meaning for those who spend time on the shores of Lake Erie.

Ellen Irving, a Hamilton painter, founded the museum and it’s so small it might actually be one for the record books.

There is no cost to visit the tiny museum and they plan to keep it unlocked so visitors can stop by anytime and leave their beach discoveries.
