The Ontario government has made it clear they believe removing bike lanes from some priority routes will help to ease congestion in cities across the province.

But, cycling advocates say it will be putting more people in danger.

David Shellnut, frequently referred to as “the biking lawyer,” is currently representing a client from Hamilton, who was recently involved in a severe accident.

Shellnut says his client was hit by a pick-up truck at an intersection in the city. The cyclist suffered a concussion, soft tissue injuries, and trauma.

Shellnut tells CHCH News Hamilton police have not laid any charges in connection with this incident at this time.
