Krispy Kreme Canada unveils opening date for Hamilton location

Good news for doughnut lovers — a date has been set for the opening of Hamilton’s first Krispy Kreme location.

The new shop located at 1290 Rymal Rd. East is expected to open its doors on May 13, according to a press release.

The 4,600-square-foot space will have a drive-thru and the brand’s signature Hot Light Theatre Shop, where guests can watch doughnuts being made fresh throughout the day.

“Hamilton has such an incredible sense of community, pride, and momentum and we’re thrilled to become a part of it,” Chris Lindsay, co-CEO at Krispy Kreme Canada, wrote in a statement.

The brand is planning a grand opening event on May 13, which will include giveaways and a free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for an entire year for the first 12 guests in line.

Currently, the nearest location for Hamiltonians to get their Krispy Kreme fix is in Mississauga.
