Forty American airports are facing 10 per cent reductions in air traffic Friday due to the government shutdown.
Many of the affected airports are located in major U.S. cities and travel destinations.
This includes JFK International in New York, Miami International in Florida, Los Angeles International in California and many, many more.
The Federal Aviation Administration says they are imposing the reductions to provide relief for air traffic controllers, who are considered federal employees, and have gone without pay during the shutdown.
