Homicide unit investigates after man killed in Dundas shooting

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting that killed one man in Dundas Sunday evening.
Officers say the shooting happened around 5 p.m. in the area of 77 Governors Rd. near Ogilvie Street.
The homicide unit has been called in to investigate but paramedics tell CHCH News a man in his 30s has been killed. Police say it is too early in the investigation to say.
Officers and witnesses at the scene and in the area say they heard six shots.
Authorities are telling the public to expect a heavy police presence in the area for the next several hours and to avoid the area.
Investigators are expected to provide an update on the case at 2 p.m.
