Hold-and-secures at three Brantford schools lifted after armed youths reported

Hold-and-secures at three schools in Brantford have been lifted after police investigated a report of two people with a firearm Tuesday.
Brantford police say they received a call around 2 p.m. about two youths with a firearm in the area of Spring Gardens Park on Dogwood Drive.
In a social media post around 2:40 p.m., officers said Tollgate Technological Skills Centre, St. John’s College and Ecole Confédération were placed in hold-and-secures as a precaution while police searched the area.
In an update nearly 10 minutes later, officers said the hold-and-secures had been lifted.
No arrests have been made at this time.
