Hamilton’s Linc to close for 3 days for maintenance starting Friday

After being rescheduled several times, the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway will be fully closed for three days starting tomorrow.
The City of Hamilton says maintenance will be completed in both directions of the parkway beginning Friday until early Monday, depending on the weather.
The eastbound closure will be in effect as of 8 a.m. Friday until Monday at 5 a.m.
The parkway will be shut down in the eastbound direction from Golf Links Road to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp leaving the eastbound Linc.
The westbound lanes between the Red Hill Valley Parkway and Mohawk Road will be closed between Friday at 10 a.m. and Monday at 5 a.m.

Drivers can detour on Mohawk and Stone Church roads.
Motorists can access eastbound Highway 403 from the Mohawk Road on-ramps. Those driving into Hamilton on Highway 403 will be directed to exit at the Golf Links Road off-ramp.
The maintenance work will include spot resurfacing and asphalt repairs, bridge and signage repairs and pavement markings, among other tasks.
The city said drivers should expect traffic, allow extra time and use alternate routes where possible.
