Hamilton police have released a new video and details surrounding regarding the search for John Edwards, who has been missing since June 11.

Detectives say they have positively tracked Edwards through various locations in Dundas that morning.

They say Edwards made frequent stops and lacked a clear destination.

Just before 10 a.m., he was seen walking westbound on the north side of Baldwin Street, passing the McDonalds restaurant at 10 Cootes Drive.

He then went northbound on Main Street, then westbound on King Street, passing Memorial Square at 10:14 a.m.

Edwards then went south onto John Street, and was seen on camera walking west on King Street at Peel Street at 10:39 a.m.

Officers say new footage confirmed Thursday places Edwards at the Esso Station at 947 Centre Road at 3:10 p.m.

He is then seen walking southeast on Centre Road toward Waterdown Village, crossing the road, and then westbound through the Esso parking lot to Concession Rd. 6 East.

Edwards is then seen going southwest along Concession Rd. 6 East.

Detectives describe Edwards as a five-foot-11 tall white man, weighing over 200 lbs, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

He may be wearing baggy shorts, a striped blue T-short, white socks, running shoes, and possibly a baseball cap.

He is also known to walk with a slight shuffle, and often carries a small, light-coloured ball in his hand.

Officers say he did not have a phone or a vehicle.

Police have been investigating Edwards’ disappearance since last week, with a command centre set up in the Metro parking lot near Governors Road and Ogilvie Street.
