Hamilton police arrest two people following east-end shooting

Hamilton police have charged two people following a shooting near the intersection of Barton Street and Fraser Avenue on July 22.
Police charged 42-year-old Donald Zoschke and 31-year-old Jessica Fair, both from Hamilton.
Zoschke was in possession of a 9mm handgun and large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.
Officers responded to the area near The Centre on Barton at around 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday after reports of multiple gunshots.
A 31-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Zoschke and Fair were charged with multiple offences and transported to Central Custody where they were then denied bail.
Detectives believe this is a targeted shooting and that the individuals involved were known to one another.
This investigation remains ongoing.
