Halton Police investigating arson at Oakville restaurant

Halton Police are asking for witnesses after a suspicious fire at an Oakville restaurant.
Police were called to Ben & Florentine Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant on Lakeshore Rd. W around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Someone reported hearing an explosion.
Officers found traces of gasoline and it appears several fires were set.

“BLM” was spray painted inside.
Police say it appears someone entered the closed restaurant through the backdoor.
Witnesses saw two people running away from the back of the restaurant, before getting into a white Ford pickup truck.
The truck was last seen travelling westbound on Lakeshore Road.
Police are asking anyone with dash cam video from the area between 9:15 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to contact them.
