Halton police seek suspects in attempted Oakville bank robbery

Halton police are searching for four suspects following an attempted bank robbery on Saturday in Oakville.
Police say at around 12:20 p.m. on July 26, four men entered a CIBC on Maple Grove Drive.
Officers say the men confronted an employee and demanded cash. When they found out cash was not held on site they stole the employees wallet and jewelry.
The employee suffered minor injuries following an altercation with the men, according to police.
Authorities say one suspect was seen with a handgun in his waistband and another was brandishing a crowbar.

After the men got the items from the employee, they fled the bank in a dark SUV.
The suspects are described as male and between 18 and 25-years-old.
Halton police are attempting to identify the suspects and suspect vehicle and are requesting anyone with information regarding this investigation, including any security or dash cam video from the area of Maple Grove Drive and Cornwall Road between the hours of 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
