CHCH News Anchor Matt Ingram spoke with former Queen’s Park correspondent Keith Leslie following Ontario’s 2025 budget announcement Thursday.

Ingram asked about the permanent cut of the Gas Tax, the removal of toll money from the eastern portion of Hwy. 407, and how the government expected to fund their large spending budget.

Leslie spoke on if he thought the government’s spending measures to shore up the economy are necessary.

The two also talked about whether they believe the government can balance the books by 2027-2028, despite the massively increased deficit.

Leslie then expressed his thoughts on if there even is enough in the budget left for healthcare, education and social programs.
