Fire ban lifted for Hamilton

The Hamilton Fire Department has lifted its “open air burning ban” now that we’ve finally had some rain.

The ban was originally issued on July 19th.

But it is no longer in effect as long as property owners hold valid “open air burn permits” and follow established guidelines.

If you need a permit, you can get one at any municipal service centre or head to one of Hamilton’s fire prevention offices.
