Earth Hour response

Horizon Utlities has reported some results from this year’s Earth Hour.

In Hamilton, Horizon reports that electricity usage went down 4 per cent between 8:30 and 9:30 on Saturday, compared to 4.5 per cent during Earth Hour last year.

In St. Catharines, electricity demand decreased 5.9 per cent. The drop, compared to the same hour from a typical Saturday, is a sizeable improvement over last year
