Early morning Oakville shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries

A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot in a parking lot on Cross Avenue in Oakville on Saturday.

Halton Regional Police Service are investigating the shooting that they say happened in a parked car outside Hashtag Garden Modern Kitchen and Lounge at 12:28 a.m. on June 28.

A man was sitting in his vehicle when a car approached and two other men confronted him wearing dark clothing and face coverings.

The man was shot during the altercation with the two men before they fled the scene in a grey Honda CR-V SUV.

Officers believe the injured man was targeted and the major crime bureau is now leading the investigation.
