Durham police have arrested and charged a 72-year-old Hamilton man following a child luring investigation.

On April 8, authorities concluded an investigation that found James Daw sending sexually explicit messages and images to whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl, and asking her to send him photos.

Officers executed a search warrant at two Hamilton residences that led to Daw being taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say Daw communicated on Chatiw with the username “JuniorJohnson” and are concerned there may be other victims.

Daw is facing five child luring related charges.

Anyone with relevant information is being asked to contact police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5544.
