Dundas Valley School of Art launches campaign to help fix leaky roof

The Dundas Valley School of Art (DVSA) says it needs help keeping its art dry.

The not-for-profit art school as launched an immediate campaign in the hopes that it can prevent further water damage caused by a leaky roof.

About a year ago, the school noticed water damage in an upstairs loft. It was discovered that the roof membrane was damaged, allowing water to seep in.

A donor has stepped up with most of the money for the repair, but the DVSA says it’s still short by $25,000.

Kathron Hann, the school’s executive director, says at this point no art has been damaged. However, they’d like to raise funds by the end of September so the roof can be repaired before the first snowfall of the year.
