Canada Day celebrations return after three year hiatus

It’s been three years since Canadians have been able to come together and celebrate this country’s birthday.

Now that Covid restrictions are gone, it was an opportunity for Canada Day celebrations to be back in full force including the parade in Niagara Falls.

But it wasn’t all celebratory, especially within the Indigenous community.

It was a day of mourning and remembering the hundreds of children who lost their lives in residential schools.
