Burlington man charged in connection to death threats against Minister of Environment

A Burlington man has been charged following an investigation into death threats made against Todd McCarthy, Ontario’s Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they began investigating the threats on July 8. Ten days later, OPP released a statement saying 40-year-old Erik Adler of Burlington has been arrested.

Adler faces two charges of uttering threats to cause death. He has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 11.
