Sentencing has been delayed for the former SISO administrator who pleaded guilty to theft. Nese Burgaz will be sentenced after two other former bosses from the Settlement and Integration Services Organization are sentenced on September 30th for de-frauding the federal government. In May, Burgaz admitted to stealing at least $160,000 from the organization meant to help newcomers settle into Hamilton. The court found that the money she took went to private school for her kids, a backyard pool, and to support her husband’s company.

Two former SISO directors, Robert Salama and Morteza Jafarpour were found guilty of de-frauding the federal government of more than a million dollars. They both face jail terms.
