Bosma Day 36

Andrew Michalski finished his testimony today at the Tim Bosma murder trial. He said he was under Dellen Millard’s influence for six years. He didn’t have any criminal history before that association and he hasn’t been in trouble since Millard’s arrest.
Michalski agreed under cross examination that he tried to protect his friend Dellen Millard when he was first interviewed by police. He agreed he was uncomfortable with the thefts he committed with Millard although he appeared to go along on so-called “missions” wholeheartedly. Smich’s lawyer asked why Millard, who was supposedly rich, would steal.
“For the thrill of it” Michalski told the court.
Later the jury saw contents of devices associated with Mark Smich, including an iPad found in his bedroom that had photos of Smich and his girlfriend Marlena Meneses.
On May 5th a message declares that it’s mission day and later, he’ll arrive in 20 minutes, and to “bring a change of clothes.”
May 5th is when two men including Mark Smich, it has been admitted, took a man to test drive a diesel truck. That test was uneventful, but the jury heard Smich and Millard planned another test drive. Tim Bosma went missing the following day.
The morning of May 7th, after the crown alleges Smich and Millard were up all night disposing of Tim Bosma’s remains, messages in the iPad suggest Smich has been unreachable. Shortly before 8am a message, come out now! The jury has seen video of what looks like Smich in Millard’s blue Yukon, picking up Meneses at about that time from her apartment at 30 Speers in Oakville.
We’ve been told we’ll see the other side of those messages from other seized devices when this trial resumes on Monday.
