Antioxidants don’t boost women’s fertility

Despite benefits for men, it seems antioxidants don’t boost female fertility.
Researchers in New Zealand studied more than 3,500 women who had difficulty conceiving. The results weren’t strong enough to completely discount the affect of antioxidants in women, but a significant improvement wasn’t noted. In a similar review of men, antioxidant supplements did lead to higher birth rates. Scientists had hoped to see the same results in women to give them an option that could improve their chances of conceiving.
